I went to France to find a tanner who could supply leather specifically for making smartphone cases, rather than bags, wallets, shoes, etc.

They found a tannery in southern France near the Spanish border that has been in business for about 100 years. The leather is tanned entirely by hand using traditional methods and techniques, and is the very best leather used by fashion houses both in France and abroad.
This time, we were able to purchase directly with the cooperation of a tanner who shared our concept.
